EGAP and Baseball NL have been working together to provide nutrition education to the 2025 Canada Games Women’s Baseball team, emphasizing the importance of proper nutrition to support energy levels, prevent injuries, and enhance performance. Athletes learned how to plan balanced snacks and meals that fit into their busy schedules. After one of the sessions, we made power berry smoothies together as a post-game recovery snack. As part of the Eat Great & Participate funding pilot, both the Men’s and Women’s Canada Games teams were provided with blenders so they can continue making smoothies on the road and before or after training.
